Immigrants and refugees working in this country shouldn’t be questioned about their character; their skin color, perceived religious identity and nationality are not cause for concern. In light of recent developments, we’ve reached out to fellow chefs to show our solidarity with the immigrants who form the backbone of our restaurants and the fabric of our communities – those suddenly and unjustly singled out for their countries of origin.
We’re banding together to raise money for a number of local non-profit organizations providing critical support to these communities now in the spotlight. Please read about the selected organizations below.
On March 7th, for a minimum donation of $50 (prepaid), participants will receive two pints of delicious soup from two different chefs. There are no limits or rules regarding what soup each chef makes, nor any process to specify which or whose soup you’ll receive. Dealer’s choice distribution!
The participating chefs and restaurants have all generously donated their time, product and creativity to this worthy cause.
We commit to standing with immigrant communities in the fight to protect their dignity and human rights; their presence among us makes us stronger.
